For and Against

In 4T we are learning to brainstorm persuasive arguments. First we write the for and against arguments. Then we choose which side is stronger and use that in our persuasive writing.

Here is an example:

It’s better to have younger siblings than older ones.

For:

  • You get to look after them
  • They look up to you
  • You can have fun with them

Against:

  • They always bug you
  • They copy you
  • You can’t have any alone time

Which side are you on?

  1. Hi Est,
I am on the against side because they actually do annoy you and bug you when you want to do your own thing.
Do you think that the new mandarins taste better than the old ones? Which side are you on?

  2. Hi EST,
I like your post about for and against.
    The strongest argument is against.
Because sometimes my older brother bugs me and never leave me alone in my room.
What do you think is the strongest argument?
