Iggy Peck, Architect

Today in house me and my buddy read Iggy Peck, Architect by Andrea Beaty and David Roberts. We were reading together because it is literature week at our school and what better way to celebrate than reading a book together? This book was about a boy named Iggy Peck who liked building buildings.

We liked the book because it was very cool because he liked building things out of random stuff. He showed resilience because his teacher didn’t like him building things but he persisted and saved her with a bridge.

We predicted that he was going to build a bridge because he was in a sticky situation and he could use his talent to his advantage.

What’s your favourite book and why?

  1. My favourite picture book is probably Suri’s Wall. Such a deep message and beautifully written.

Enjoyed this session, do you have any other ideas for purposeful house activities?
